Human Rights Protection Policy on Uyghurs

Northern Justice Watch is committed to protecting human rights globally, emphasizing accountability for crimes against humanity. We are aware of the human rights abuses against religious and ethnic minority groups, particularly Uyghurs in the Xinjiang region. We focus our attention and resources on fostering justice and accountability for Uyghur newcomers and survivors seeking support from our organization.  To achieve this, we will, among other things:

  • Monitor, document, and publicly report on human rights violations towards Uyghurs by relying on evidence-based findings and remaining impartial in our documentation;
  • Provide advocacy and support tailored to Uyghur newcomers and survivors seeking support from our organization, and focus on the promotion of equal treatment towards different religious and ethnic groups with dignity and respect;
  • Form strategic partnerships with other organizations and government bodies at all levels to provide relief to Uyghur newcomers and survivors seeking support from our organization;
  • Engage in interventions to facilitate opening investigations and other redress-seeking processes for Uyghur newcomers and survivors seeking support from our organization.

We, as Northern Justice Watch, are deeply concerned about the human rights situation of Uyghurs. The Northern Justice Watch is dedicated to upholding the principles of equality, dignity, and respect for all individuals, regardless of their religion or opinions. We firmly believe that freedom of religion and expression are fundamental rights that can only enrich our society and shall not be punished.

Given the alarming allegations of serious atrocity crimes against Uyghurs and other ethnic and religious minority groups, we call upon government bodies at all levels to conduct thorough investigations into these allegations. It is our unwavering belief that every individual possesses an inherent right to dignity and worth, and we are committed to advocating for justice and accountability for Uyghurs.
