Policy on Human Rights Protection in Canada

Northern Justice Watch is committed to protecting human rights globally, emphasizing accountability for crimes against humanity. We are aware of the alarmingly high number of allegations of human rights violations happening against the Indigenous People of Canada, and we focus our attention and resources on fostering justice and accountability for Indigenous Peoples and Residential School survivors seeking support from our organization. To achieve this, we will, among other things:

  • Monitor, document, and publicly report on human rights violations in Canada by relying on evidence-based findings and remaining impartial in our documentation;
  • Provide advocacy and support tailored to Indigenous Peoples and Residential School survivors seeking support from our organization;
  • Form strategic partnerships with other organizations and government bodies at all levels to provide relief to Indigenous Peoples and Residential School survivors seeking support from our organization;
  • Engage in interventions to facilitate the opening of investigations and other redress-seeking processes for Indigenous Peoples and Residential School survivors seeking support from our organization.

We, as Northern Justice Watch, are deeply concerned about the repeated human rights violations regarding Indigenous people of Canada. The Northern Justice Watch is dedicated to upholding the principles of equality, dignity, and respect for all individuals, regardless of their race, ethnicity, and cultural backgrounds. We firmly believe that the Indigenous Peoples and their heritage can only enrich our society and should be respected.

We, as Northern Justice Watch, call upon government bodies at all levels to conduct thorough investigations regarding human rights violations committed against the Indigenous People of Canada. It is our unwavering belief that every individual possesses an inherent right to dignity and worth, and we are committed to advocating for justice and accountability in Canada.
