SUMMARY:March for Refugee Rights
DESCRIPTION:Amnesty International Canada is hosting a march in Montreal and Toronto\, bringing attention to the obstacles refugees face\, entering Canada\, on June 17- June 19 2023. Our President\, Executive Director and Program Development Director will walk for refugee rights in Toronto.\n\nWearing their white shirts\, a group of members from the Northern Justice Watch will  join other supporters at Minister Mendicino’s office at 2.30PM. Together\, they will march directly south down Bathurst Street\, straight to the waterfront and Ireland Park\, where they will end the event at about 6PM.\n\nThe march aims to remind the perils that refugee claimants face trying to enter Canada because of the STCA. People from diverse backgrounds will walk in solidarity with people seeking safety in Canada!
