
Northern Justice Watch (NJW) provides support to victims and survivors of human rights violations through legal information and referrals, interpretation and translation assistance, advocacy support, documentation assistance, and referrals to trauma-informed mental health and rehabilitation services.

You may submit a request if you are:
- A victim or survivor of human rights violations
- A refugee, asylum seeker, or individual facing immigration-related concerns
- A person seeking legal information or referrals
- Someone requiring interpretation or translation support
- An individual seeking advocacy assistance or documentation support
- A person seeking referrals for trauma-informed mental health, rehabilitation, or social support services
- A family member, guardian, or authorized representative submitting a request on behalf of someone else
Please read the following carefully:
- Submitting a request does not create a lawyer-client relationship, therapist-client relationship, or formal representative relationship with Northern Justice Watch.
- Northern Justice Watch is not an emergency or crisis service.
- If you are in immediate danger in Canada, call 911.
- If you require urgent emotional or mental health support in Canada, call or text 9-8-8.
- Please do not include graphic or highly sensitive details unless specifically requested by NJW at a later stage.
- Information submitted through this process will be treated confidentially and used only for purposes related to assessing and facilitating your request for support.
Steps to Request Assistance
Step 1: Download the Intake Form
Download and complete the: NJW Victim Support Intake & Consent Form (PDF)
Please complete the form as fully as possible. If you are unable to complete certain sections, you may leave them blank and explain your circumstances in your submission email.
Step 2: Submit Your Completed Form
One the form is completed, email it to: Northernjusticewatch@gmail.com
Required Email Subject Line: NJW Assistance Request – [Your Full Name]
For example: NJW Assistance Request – Jane Doe.
Using the correct subject line helps us process requests more efficiently.
Supporting Documents
If relevant, you may include supporting documents such as:
- Court or tribunal documents
- Immigration or refugee documents
- Removal or deportation notices
- Medical or psychological reports
- Witness statements
- Relevant photographs, videos, or other evidence
- Advocacy or campaign materials
Please only submit documents that are necessary at this stage. NJW may request additional documentation after reviewing your intake form.
What Happens After Submission?
After receiving your request:
- NJW will review your intake form.
- We may contact you for clarification or additional information.
- If appropriate, we may connect you with legal professionals, interpreters, mental health professionals, community organizations, or other support services.
- Requests are reviewed based on urgency, available resources, and the nature of the support being requested.
Please note that submission of a request does not guarantee representation, advocacy services, or placement with a particular professional or organization.
Confidentiality
Northern Justice Watch takes confidentiality seriously. Information provided through the intake process will be handled with care and used only for purposes related to reviewing your request, communicating with you, documenting the request internally, and facilitating support or referrals where appropriate and with consent.
Additional consent may be requested before information is shared with lawyers, licensed representatives, interpreters, mental health professionals, partner organizations, or service providers.
